Mind you, that on the first day of school it was what I had somewhat expected...crying, lots of crying. It was just heartbreaking, much harder than I ever thought it would be. I mean your baby is saying things like, "Mama, please just take me home with you. I want you to stay" and those sweet puppy eyes filled with tears. Enough to even make a grown man cry, let alone an emotional stay at home mommy. What I really wanted to say was, "ok, baby, Mama will just take you home. You don't have to stay!" But no, I was a strong mommy and just patted him on the back and held back my tears. :(
I was probably worse than him that day. (His teacher said that he stopped crying 5 minutes after I finally left.) I didn't know how I was going to make it through the day, I mean what would I do with all my extra time on my hands...
I will tell you what I will do...
- clean the house (without it getting destroyed two seconds later)
- pedicures with my best girlfriends!
- laundry and more laundry
- exercise (I mean I could, but haven't really yet)
- organize all our junk, I mean, treasures
- clear out all our clutter
- actually blog
- catch up on my DVR'ed shows
- weed the flowerbeds (ugh, who really enjoys that?)
- shopping by myself!!!
Despite the look on his face he was actually excited to go to school!
Awww, bless his heart (and yours!)
ReplyDeleteHe looked like a pretty cool dude, though. =]
